A Family Story
For a hundred years, the Denis Family has been committed to producing terroir wines and growing the vineyard of Domaine du Petit Clocher in Cléré-sur-Layon. Over the generations, the techniques, solutions and experience of the men and women of the family have all contributed to developing the estate. The ambition and philosophy, however, are the same as on day one – a love of the land and a job well done, and the desire to produce authentic wines with distinctive character that are a vibrant reflection of the family’s savoir-faire.
Our Terroir
In its location near Saumur, on the border of Anjou and Poitou, Domaine du Petit Clocher enjoys exceptional climate conditions and geology. A remarkable terroir of hard green and grey schist, pink granulite with amphibole of Thouars, and igneous rocks, offers excellent conditions for winegrowing and allows us to produce subtly expressive wines with a delicate or strongly pronounced character.
Our wine collection
Whites
Made from Chenin, Chardonnay or Sauvignon, our white wines come in fresh, opulent or floral styles and are always distinguished and elegant. Wines with clear identities, grown on terroirs of schist.
